Medical Care in Darien National Park

The Darien has a public hospital and health care centre but sometimes they might not have the specific medication you take. Please bring your prescription medications from home if you take any. We will carry basic medication for fever, headaches, etc.

Passports & Insurance for Visiting Darien National Park

Every visitor needs to have their own travel insurance from home. Please send a copy to me to have in hand in case you need to use it. Please also send me a copy of your passport because the border police will ask to check each passengers on the boat going into the Darien. It is better to have a list with me and copy of your passport in advance.
